A man walked down a beach at sunset.
He saw a boy picking up starfishes and throwing them back into the sea.
When the man arrived the boy, he asked him why he was doing this.
The answer was, that the stranded starfishes die, when they still lie on the beach at sunrise.
“But the beach is hundreds of kilometres long and there are a thousand starfishes lying on it” says the old man,
“So, where’s the difference?”?”
The boy looked at the starfish in his hands, threw it
into the saving waves and said:
“For this one, it makes a difference!”
